NOTICE:
Announcement of Bradley County Republican Party Reorganization of Executive Committee
In preparation for the upcoming county party reorganization, the Bradley County
Republican Party would like to ensure citizens are provided all necessary information and
proper notification of the reorganization process.
The Bradley County Republican Party Reorganization of the Executive
Committee will be held on February 8, 2025, at 8:30 AM in the Ocoee Middle School Cafeteria.
If you are interested in seeking the office of Chairman to the County Executive Committee, please contact our Contest and Credentials Committee by email at: bradleygop@gmail.com. Within 24 hours of sending your email, you will receive a confirmation that the email was received. If you do not receive a confirmation of your intent to run, it is your responsibility to resend your email and call 423-380-8135.
Any candidate seeking the office of Chairman is required to notify the Contest and Credentials Committee seven (7) calendar days prior to the reorganization of their intent to seek the chairmanship. If a Chair candidate does not notify the C&C within the timeframe, they will not
be eligible for office. All other positions can be nominated from the floor.
Prospective candidates for any office on the County Executive Committee must qualify under the Tennessee Republican Party Bylaws to run for a party officer. You can find the state bylaws at: www.tngop.org
To participate in the reorganization and vote for county party officers, you must be a “qualified participant” as defined by the TNGOP Bylaws, Section E:
An individual who:
a) is properly registered to vote in Bradley County and
b) has voted in at least three (3) of the four (4) most recent statewide Republican primary elections in which he/she is eligible to vote.
Younger Republicans who may not have been of legal age for three primary elections must obtain prior approval from a majority of the SEC members that represent a senatorial district in the county, in whole or part.
If you plan on attending the reorganization or running for an officer, we encourage you to register in advance with the Tennessee Republican Party. It will allow you to skip the line to get in the reorganization on February 8th and to ensure that you qualify to participate.
